Wattpad and Webtoon are two prominent destinations for digital storytelling. Now, the company that owns both of those platforms is adding a new app to its literary mix. Yonder, which rewards readers of serialized fiction, is now available on Android.
Yonder offers a diverse library of fiction, including titles from bestselling authors. At launch, Yonder users can explore exclusive titles, including a romance novel from Ivy Smoak and new work from TikToker Ruby Dixon. New chapters will be added daily. As users consume content on the app, they’ll be rewarded with Coins, which can unlock unread installments. “Several chapters” of each title are available for free, according to Yonder.
To stock Yonder’s shelves, the app has partnered with publishers like Blackstone Publishing, Aethon, Sterling and Stone, Portal Books, and Wraithmarked. “On Yonder, the more you read, the more you get, with rewards and perks to read even more,” said Yonder President Hwalin Oh in a statement. “With some of the most exciting voices in fiction, and a product that encourages and rewards reading, Yonder is the future of fiction, bringing bookshelf quality stories to a serialized mobile app.”

Yonder is joining a brand that already includes webcomic hub Webtoon and storytelling platform Wattpad. Both of those apps are owned by South Korean conglomerate Naver. The owner of the popular messaging app Line has helped its digital literature properties branch out. Stories that originated on Wattpad and Webtoon have been turned into shows by major studios, and since Yonder is attracting authors with significant social followings, it could establish its own ebooks-to-originals pipeline.
Yonder is already synergizing with its sister apps. One of its launch titles, The Remarried Empress, is a novelization of a webcomic that has received 1.5 billion reads on Webtoon.
