Caiden Cernius goes “Send Mode” with Volcom merch team-up

Eleven-year-old YouTuber and BMX expert Caiden Cernius has a new merch line out thanks to a partnership with Volcom.

Volcom—a sportswear brand that’s worked with athletic stars like Shaun White, Jack Robinson, and Arthur Longo—has never teamed up with a BMX biker before, and it’s also never released a signature youth line.

Cernius has been showing off his BMX skills on YouTube since he was six years old, with his parents managing his channel. He has 1.4 million subscribers and is an Olympic hopeful who’s undefeated in BMX competition so far this year.

He told Forbes he’s been wearing Volcom clothing “since I was two years old, before I started riding bikes, before YouTube, before it all.”

His collection (called “Send Mode” after his catchphrase) includes more than 25 items, from tie-dye hoodies to T-shirts to flannels to hats.

Volcom told Forbes his collection has seen a “great response across the board” and that another drop is planned later this month, targeted at holiday shopping season.

“Since day one, Volcom’s brand vision has been rooted in supporting world class talent across our culture,” Ryan Immegart, Volcom’s CMO, said in a statement. “That being said, throughout the past three decades we have never done a signature collection in our boys’ line, which is why we are so excited to be working with Caiden BMX on our first.”
