The Try Guys have announced that Ned Fulmer “is no longer working” with them

Ned Fulmer is no longer a member of The Try Guys. The embattled personality announced his departure from the group after admitting to an extramarital affair.

Keen-eyed Try Guys fans noticed that Fulmer had been absent from several of the group’s latest videos. In some clips, it appeared as if Fulmer had been hastily cut out, even though he had been present at associated filming sessions.

Rumors soon swirled. Had Fulmer been booted from the group after having an affair? According to the man himself, yes. After The Try Guys tweeted that Fulmer “is no longer working” with his three former co-stars, he took to Twitter himself to admit his infidelity. “Family should have always been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship,” Fulmer said. He apologized for the pain he caused to his wife, colleagues, and fans.

The remaining Try Guys are Eugene Lee Yang, Keith Habersberger, and Zach Kornfeld. While employed at BuzzFeed, those three funnymen and Fulmer began starring in videos that featured outrageous stunts. After breaking away from BuzzFeed in 2018, The Try Guys ascended to a higher level of internet fame. Their exploits earned them a book deal and regular appearances within the YouTube Originals slate.

As his brand grew, Fulmer painted himself as a family man. His wife Ariel got regular shout-outs in his videos, and the couple teamed up to launch a parenting podcast in 2020. In lieu of the latest news, Ariel reached out on Instagram with a plea for privacy.

Other creators, such as Hank Green, have urged Twitter speculators to give the Fulmers the peace they have requested. Green is coming from a noble place, but it’s already too late. News of Fulmer’s transgressions has spread around the internet like wildfire.

Now that Fulmer has been booted from the group that made him famous, there’s a big question that still needs to be answered. Will The Try Guys carry on as a trio, or will they look to recruit a new member? Some tweets have joked about the hiring opportunity presented by Fulmer’s departure, but if you ask me, Yang, Habersberger, and Kornfeld are perfectly capable of trying things themselves.
