A full-time career in online video can be a pretty demanding gig. Thanks to all the writing, filming, editing, uploading, and audience building the job requires, it can be difficult for creators to find time for their families, businesses, and personal projects.
So how are social stars negotiating their busy schedules? For one of them, the answer involves a personalized planner. Kristy Scott, best known as one half of the YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram duo The Scotts, has launched a productivity aid in partnership with North + Third. The purveyor of “custom notebooks” is now selling a planner designed by Scott. The book features the phrase “I promise I’m productive” emblazoned across its front cover. Depending on what your work habits are like, the veracity of that statement may vary.
Scott’s day-to-day is quite busy. When she’s not starring in short-form clips alongside her husband Desmond, she raises her two boys, both of whom are under the age of three. She has also launched Meant To Be Films, a wedding videography company. The “I promise I’m productive” planner, based on her own organizational techniques, is a means of organizing all of those wide-ranging tasks. The 174-page tome, which has space for six months of planning, is designed to be “simple, lighthearted, effective and motivational,” and it “includes pages for goals, project management, bucket lists, budgeting, and more,” according to a press release.

In a statement, Scott explained that she designed her planner in order to share her love of organization with her fans. “Anyone who knows me well, knows I am obsessed with organization – and pretty much writing out my entire life,” she said. “Ever since I can remember (even as a child), I’ve been making to-do lists every morning before the start of my day. I simply couldn’t operate without doing such and I feel like I’ve reached many personal and career milestones solely because I’ve written it out first.”
She also showed off the planner to her husband in a TikTok video:
@kristy.sarah he really played me at the end tho 🥲 btw it’s available!!!! lînk în bî0!!! #planner #agenda ♬ Blue Blood – Heinz Kiessling & Various Artists
Scott is not the first creator to concoct a productivity aid inspired by personal practices. CGP Grey, one of the big names in YouTube’s educational community, created a journal based off the “theme system” he uses to organize his thoughts.
Scott’s planner retails for $38. Just remember: If you buy one, you have to promise to be productive.
