Starforge Systems is blasting off with a creator-led approach to custom PCs

For professional streamers, the purchase of top-of-the-line hardware is an important business expense. A new tech company, Starforge Systems, is using its unique background to bring the streaming and computing worlds together.

Starforge is owned by One True King (OTK), the Austin-based collective that works with some of the gaming industry’s top streamers. As Starforge rolls out its products and services, it will harness the marketing potential of its creative partners. Notable streamers like nmplol and Emiru will support the brand through their streams, while founding OTK members Mizkif (pictured above) and Asmongold will open pop-up shops to let their audience members peruse Starforge’s products. Twitch star Moist Cr1TiKaL (a co-owner of Starforge) will showcase the lighter side of brand by delivering “mock tech support calls.”

According to a pitch deck shared with Tubefilter, OTK is a “livestreaming juggernaut” whose partner creators count 53 million followers among them. By letting those influencers take care of its marketing needs, Starforge will be able to make a substantial investment in the machines it builds. “When so many other PC brands focus on marketing, Starforge’s unique position in the marketplace as a creator-lead Systems Integrator allows it to put an emphasis on the parts in each system, as well as the service that it provides,” reads a line in the deck.

The OTK creators will be committed to the promotion of Starforge because they will also be invested in its success. A Starforge rep told Tubefilter that OTK and its creative roster are “by far the majority owners” of the company. The result is a product that will be “all creator and company-led.”

One of OTK’s previous partnerships in the systems integration space did not fare so well. The creator company previously struck a deal with Artesian Builds, but that purveyor of custom PCs crashed and burned after its CEO disparaged a small creator during a giveaway stream. As a result, there is now a gap in the industry, and OTK is hoping that Starforge Systems will be able to provide both exemplary builds and proper respect for streamers of all sizes.

Starforge Systems is led by CEO Nick Dankner. Globally, systems integration is a $23.6 billion market, and Starforge is set up to claim a big slice of that pie — all while providing pro gamers with the specs they require.
