Alongside that other Final Four, creators will vie for $50,000 in the House of Highlights Creator League

A Final Four tournament will take place in New Orleans during the weekend of April 2, and no, I’m not talking about the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament. While March Madness concludes inside the Louisiana Superdome, four creators with large followings on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram will vie for $50,000 in the finals of the House of Highlights Creator League.

As its name implies, the Creator League is presented by House of Highlights, the sports media company that was acquired by Bleacher Report in 2016. HoH invited some of the top basketball influencers to play in one-on-one matches. The four competitors who have not yet been eliminated will square off in New Orleans to determine which one of them will scoop up the grand prize.

House of Highlights has streamed the League matches on its HoH YouTube channel, and viewers can return to that hub on April 1 if they want to check out the semifinal round. The matchup that tips off at 7 PM ET should be a doozy; it’s a rematch between Cash Nasty (4.3 million YouTube subscribers) and Cam Wilder (4.3 million TikTok followers). In their previous Creator League meeting, Cash Nasty eked out a tight win, so Wilder should be hungry for revenge.

On the other side of the bracket, Matt Kiatipis (138K Instagram followers) will try to drop streetball legend D’Vontay Friga (700K YouTube subscribers). The two semifinal losers will join four previously-eliminated players in a three-on-three consolation game that will feature a $15,000 prize pool and will lead into the final on April 3. All of the matches will be announced by the Broadcast Boys, who have worked with House of Highlights to collect 2.7 million followers on TikTok.

The matches will take place at the Pontiff Playground, just a few miles from the Louisiana Superdome. Overall, it will be a big week for House of Highlights. In addition to presenting the finals of the Creator League, the channel will also share big moments from the weekend’s March Madness games, as it has done throughout the tournament.

This two-pronged approach — a mix of original content and traditional sports highlights — is a tried-and-true strategy for HoH. The brand’s Dodgeball Showdown, for example, kicked off last June. While creators threw balls at one another, House of Highlights shared its usual coverage of the NBA Playoffs. Both of those content sources produced big midsummer viewership for Bleacher Report.

Previous creator competitions hosted by House of Highlights have included the House of Highlights Showdown and Highlight House. If you’ll be in New Orleans this weekend and are interested in checking out some of social media’s most prolific ballers, you can RSVP for the semifinals via the official Creator League website.
