It was a banner week for Indian channels, with a familiar one claiming the top spot and a new one racing up the charts. 22 Indian channels cracked our Global Top 50 this week, compared to 14 from the U.S.
Chart Toppers
Of all those Indian channels, T-Series is still king.
With its music videos, movie clips, and other related pieces of content, the record label is the most-watched channel on YouTube week in and week out. Over the last seven days, it added 806.8 million weekly views to its lifetime total, while also raising its subscriber count to a whopping 210 million. No other channel is even close to putting up figures like those.
The #2 channel in this week’s Global Top 50 may come as a bit of a surprise, but if you consider the massive viewership YouTube Shorts is generating, the result makes sense. Shorts Break vaulted from outside the Top 50 all the way up to #2 by combining two of the top trends in this chart: Indian content and short-form content. That potent combo allowed Shorts Break to pull in 660 million weekly views.
This week, the highest-ranking channel that hails from the U.S. is Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes. By appealing to YouTube’s youngest viewers, Cocomelon has achieved a rate of traffic that no other American channel can match. Over seven days, the California-based hub reeled in 572.3 million weekly views, good for third place in our worldwide ranking.
Moving onto #4, we find SET India. The Sony-owned channel made it three Indian hubs in the top four by securing 571.2 million weekly views. That total represented a 7% week-over-week traffic decrease, and SET India fell from second place in the world down to fourth as a result.
Like Nastya rounds out this week’s global top five. The U.S.-based family channel, whose titular star appears in a number of vlogs, added 570.2 million weekly views in our latest count. That put it just a smidge behind SET India in our global chart.
Top Gainers
Minecraft mods are the genesis of many popular video formats on YouTube. But there’s only so long you can watch someone flop around as a fish or survive on half a heart before these blocky gimmicks become tiresome.
So camman18, whose real name is Cameron, had an idea. What if the novelty of Minecraft mods could be combined with the quick-hitting nature of YouTube Shorts? He tried out this strategy, and it lifted him to a new level of online video viewership.
All of Cameron’s most-watched YouTube videos hail from Shorts, and the top seven of those clips feature his “Minecraft, but” conceit, in which he plays the popular sandbox game while under the influence of a wacky mod. I don’t know if I would spend more than a minute watch Cameron fall upward in a sideways Minecraft world, but on Shorts, that video doesn’t overstay its welcome.
Boosted by videos like this one, the camman18 channel just had a massive week on YouTube. With 165.7 million weekly views, the channel vaulted from 220th place in our global ranking up to 48th. Cameron’s videos got more than twice as many views this week as they did the week before, and his lifetime YouTube viewership has surpassed 2.4 billion views. Not bad for a channel that only launched on YouTube last year.

Here’s a breakdown of the Top 50 Most Viewed channels this week in terms of their countries of origin:
- United States: 22 channels in the Top 50.
- India: 14 channels in the Top 50.
- Pakistan: 3 channels in the Top 50.
- Japan and Russia: 2 channels in the Top 50.
- Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Mexico, Moldova, Singapore, and Turkey: 1 channel each in the Top 50.
This week, 23 channels in the Top 50 are primarily active on YouTube Shorts.
