This week, the top five finishers in our Global Top 50 were the only YouTube channels in the world to get at least 400 million views during the first week of February.

If you think that’s a lot, keep in mind that the channel at the top of the chart surpassed the 800 million view mark for the second straight week. Read on to learn about what changed in the world of YouTube as the calendar rolled over to a new month.
Chart Toppers
The #1 content producer in the world, in terms of weekly YouTube views, is T-Series. Though the Indian record label found itself outside this position at the start of 2022, it has since resumed its usual form and has spent four straight weeks at the apex of our Global Top 50. It recorded 876.6 million weekly views during the first week of February, and that brought its lifetime YouTube viewership above 180 billion views.
The second-place channel in this week’s Global Top 50 is also based in the world’s second-most populous nation. SET India, which provides TV content to an audience of more than 126 million subscribers, moved up one spot to take the place right behind T-Series. We measured 682.6 million weekly views for the Sony-owned hub.
Of the 21 U.S.-based channels that made their way into the Global Top 50 this week, the one that achieved the highest chart position is Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes. The California-based content producer, which recently announced its plan to start distributing podcasts on Spotify, registered 658.9 million weekly views. That was 8% less traffic than what Cocomelon produced the week before, and that dip caused the channel to slip from second place down to third.
The month may have moved to February, but Kids Diana Show still occupies the #4 spot in our Global Top 50, just as it did in January. The family vlog, which is led by the titular seven-year-old and her brother Roma, added 497.2 million weekly views over our latest seven-day measurement period.
Sony SAB rounds out an all-American-and-Indian global top five. The Indian channel, which is linked to SET India and offers up a similar selection of TV programming, received 488.1 million weekly views to retain the #5 spot it earned a week ago.
Top Gainers
There are 12 different nations recognized in this week’s Global Top 50, but aside from the U.S.-based channels, there’s only one North American entrant in the chart. Let’s talk about Mexico’s only representative in the Top 50, Job Othoniel.
Job Othoniel has been on the rise lately, and in the first week of February, it reached its highest chart position yet. It finished 11th in the world, moving up from 19th thanks to a 20% week-over-week viewership increase. In total, the channel received 288.6 million weekly views, and since launching on YouTube in April 2020, it has now collected more than 1.6 billion total views.
The videos collecting all those views are YouTube Shorts clips that show people at work. As Job Othoniel’s About page says, “This channel focuses mainly on informative videos in addition to very diverse topics that every entrepreneur needs to know.”
The stars of Job Othoniel are workers from around the world. They are women who work in a soap factory and shoe cleaners and artsy, creative people. These laborers appear to represent many countries outside of Mexico, but the tips the channel dispenses can be applied by anyone from anywhere — especially if you have some pots that need cleaning and a big bucket of grease.
Job Othoniel’s videos have Spanish titles, but without a doubt, this channel is truly global.
