Brett Favre, Michael Vick, And The FaZe Clan Are Going To Play Flag Football

Fresh off its merch pact with NASCAR, FaZe Clan is teaming up with the National Football League on a charity flag football game that’s set to kick off a joint marketing venture ahead of the Super Bowl and beyond.

The pact will seek to cross-pollinate traditional sports and gaming fans, the League said, and the match itself will take place on Feb. 12 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Sponsored by Lowe’s, members of FaZe – including FaZe Temperrr, FaZe Adapt, and FaZe Swagg – will face off against another sports-and-gaming-focused creator collective called AMP (which stands for Any Means Possible). NFL stalwarts Michael Vick and Brett Favre will serve as quarterbacks for each team.

Both teams will donate $25,000 to benefit youth sports initiatives, with FaZe’s donation going to Snoop Dogg’s Youth Football League. The game will be streamed on FaZe’s YouTube and Twitch channels, and fans can also purchase tickets to attend in person.

Looking ahead to the 2022-2023 season, the NFL said it intends to continue working with FaZe on branded content, events, and consumer products. The two entities first collaborated in 2019, and re-teamed in 2020 for a merch deal surrounding the League’s first-ever virtual draft.

“Gaming continues to be a core pillar within the broader NFL strategy,” Ian Trombetta, the NFL’s SVP of social, influencer, and content marketing said in a statement. “In addition, our enhanced relationship will include first-ever activations and initiatives throughout the 2022-2023 season aimed at engaging our casual Gen Z fans.”
