FaZe Clan has launched a new recruitment challenge alongside crypto partner MoonPay that will bestow one new member with its biggest prize package to date.
Open registration for the #FaZe1 recruitment blitz is available now, followed by a challenge next week that will whittle down the playing field to 100. In May, the top 20 contenders from around the globe will convene in Los Angeles for a reality-TV style, 24/7 live stream series – hosted by FaZe Apex, FaZe CBass, and FaZe Faxuty – on the org’s Twitch and YouTube channels, airing every Thursday at 3 pm ET.
The winner will join FaZe, with a crypto signing bonus totaling $1 million from MoonPay, plus a new Nissan luxury car, and a $250,000 brand deal with energy drink maker G Fuel.

#FaZe1 marks an evolution of the #FaZe5 recruitment challenge, which took place roughly a year ago and welcomed five new members with less lucrative prizes.
“The important thing to keep in mind is that we aren’t just looking for the best gamer to join our team,” stated FaZe Rain. “We’re looking for every kind of creator — visual artists, music artists, producers, pranksters, entertainers, any and all people who want to showcase their talent in front of an audience.”
MoonPay, the crypto platform — which raised $555 million at a $3.4 billion valuation in November — is funding the grand prize, and signed on as FaZe’s official crypto partner last month. FaZe will create promotional content with MoonPay and use its platform for its forthcoming NFT and digital goods initiatives.
