TikTok’s top executives have reportedly “pushed out” former head of global marketing Nick Tran, according to The Information, which cited two anonymous sources familiar with the situation.
Tran joined TikTok in 2020, and has led myriad efforts, including the launch of its first creator NFT collection and video-based job discovery platform. He also managed TikTok’s ad-buying budget on linear TV and across digital.
It is unknown why Tran is departing, per The Information, which notes that COO Vanessa Pappas will resume global marketing responsibilities.
