Epidemic Sound, which provides a music subscription service for creators to soundtrack their videos, has announced three new appointments to its board, including the addition of former Shazam CEO and chairman Andrew Fisher as its new chairperson.
Fisher will succeed Vania Schlogel — the founder and managing partner of Atwater Capital, who will remain on the Epidemic board as a director.
At the same time, Epidemic added former Salesforce exec Kirsten Wolberg and former Googler Adrienne Gormley to its board last month as non-executive directors.

“With the expertise and experience from these impressive executives from software as a service (SaaS) and musictech sectors,” stated Epidemic CEO Oscar Höglund, “we’re confident that we’ve strengthened the board in the right areas to help us continue to serve the creator economy and navigate our next chapter in our journey.”
In March, Epidemic Sound raised $450 million in fresh funding — led by Blackstone Growth and EQT Growth — at a $1.4 billion valuation. At the time, it said funds would be used to accelerate user acquisition, develop new products, localize its offerings, invest in its music library, and expand into new markets.
