Elaine Paul, the former CFO and VP of finance for Amazon Studios, is exiting to join ride-sharing platform Lyft in the same role.

Paul will replace Brian Roberts as Lyft’s chief financial officer, effective Jan. 3. Roberts, who has served as Lyft’s CFO since Nov. 2014 and helped steer the company through its IPO in 2019, will remain as an advisor until June 2022 to assist with the transition.

At Amazon Studios, Paul oversaw financial planning for Amazon’s global slate or original film and television programming, studio operations, and Prime Video marketing finances. She also oversaw teams with respect to strategy, business intelligence, and advanced analytics. Prior to joining Amazon, she served as the CFO of Hulu for six years, and before that held a number of roles at Disney for roughly 19 years.
