Jake Paul Formalizes December Bout Against U.K. Boxer, Reality Star Tommy Fury

Jake Paul’s got his next boxing bout on the books.

The polarizing vlogger-turned-fighter will face off against undefeated boxer Tommy Fury on Dec. 18 in Tampa, Fla., ESPN reports. Fury is a U.K. boxer who rose to fame after appearing on the hit reality series Love Island.

ESPN notes that the match will come with an added wager: if he loses, Fury has agreed to temporarily change his name to Tommy Fumbles, while Paul will fork over $500,000 if he is defeated.

Paul’s professional record is 4-0, and he last emerged victorious in a split decision against UFC champ Tyron Woodley

in August; Fury fought (and won) on that fight’s undercard. The event was also chronicled in a recent profile of Paul in The New Yorker, in which he told the storied outlet, “One thing that is great about being a fighter is, like, you can’t get cancelled.”

Amanda Serrano, the No. 3 ranked female boxer in the world, will compete in the co-main event of Paul’s fight with Fury, ESPN reports, though her opponent has not yet been named.

The December event will be promoted by Paul’s own Most Valuable Promotions with Showtime Sports and in association with Tony Holden Productions.
