YouTube Shorts continues to increase the percentage of American YouTube viewership it eats up.

Three of the top five channels in our latest ranking of the 50 most-viewed U.S.-based YouTube channels of the week receive major viewership via the year-old TikTok competitor. Further down the chart, other creators are using their own micro-videos to find their own entry points into our recurring ranking.
Chart Toppers
This week, LankyBox is on top of our U.S. Top 50, and as per usual, it is scoring big-time traffic thanks to its balanced video diet. This week, creators Justin and Adam have offered their typical combination of video game content (particularly Roblox and Minecraft) as well as a number of short-form clips that span multiple different categories. Over our latest seven-day measurement period, that combo added up to 434.6 million weekly views.
Cocomelon – Nursery Rhymes is this week’s U.S. #2. The animation hub, which is the most-viewed U.S.-based YouTube channel of all time, surpassed 110 billion lifetime views after it picked up 403.6 million weekly views in our latest count. Cocomelon is also about to reach another major milestone, as it will only be a week or two before it picks up its 120-millionth subscriber.
The next channel in our U.S. chart is Ben azelart shorts. For Azelart, who is known as a popular TikTok creator, the #3 ranking among U.S.-based YouTube channels is an all-time high. Azelart’s YouTube content, in which people who fist bump him in public often receive sweets, accumulated 305.2 million weekly views over a seven-day span.
Kids Diana Show is right behind Azelart in fourth place. The kid-friendly channel with ties to the Ukraine and Florida continues to cement its place as one of YouTube’s top family vlogs. Its latest seven-day total of 279.7 million weekly views represents a 12% week-over-week increase, though that uptick was only good enough for Kids Diana to hold onto its previous position in the U.S. chart.
SMOL, another channel with a big presence on YouTube Shorts, rounds out this week’s U.S. top five. The seven-month-old channel, which led this chart last week, dropped back four spots despite earning 256.5 million weekly views.
Top Gainers
We know that content intended for young children tends to perform well on YouTube, but what about content intended for adults who want to feel nostalgic for the years when they were young children?
If the success of Ms_pam_a_cake is to be believed, that audience is quite powerful indeed. Ms_pam_a_cake is the nom de screen of Pam Thomason, a third-grade teacher who has built up a strong following across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. While Thomason offers many different scholastic videos on her channel, many of her most popular clips are part of her “School Lunches” series, in which she lampoons the various characters we all sat with in elementary school.
In one micro-video, which has received more than three million views to date, we meet the kid who can’t stop spilling his fruit cup, the kid who believes Lunchables are more valuable than gold, and the kid who somehow knows the word “charcuterie.” Spoiler: All three of those kids were me.
Thomason’s latest seven-day viewership numbers allowed her to crack our U.S. Top 50 for the first time, as she reached 48th place. Her seven-day traffic total topped out at 81.9 million weekly views, and considering that she’s just starting out on YouTube, I’m expecting that number to trend upward going forward. Pretty sure, the value of her viewership might even equal one Lunchable.
