TikTok is diving headfirst into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) by launching its first official NFT collection, comprising impactful TikTok videos that will be sold as one-of-one collectibles.

The collection has been dubbed TikTok Top Moments, and comprises six total videos, in addition to other limited edition NFTs that will be sold alongside each video, holding real-world redeemable value provided by creators, TikTok said. TikTok Top Moments will live on the Ethereum blockchain and will be exchanged via Immutable X, a purportedly carbon neutral platform.

The collection will see top TikTok creators — including Lil Nas X, Bella Poarch, Curtis Roach, Brittany Broski, FNMeka, Jess Marciante, and Gary Vaynerchuk — partnering with NFT artists like COIN ARTIST, x0r, RTFKT, and the musician Grimes.

Lil Nas X will be the first creator to debut his NFT collection on Oct. 6 via a standalone drop site. Additional releases will take place weekly through the end of the month. TikTok says proceeds will “largely” go to creators and NFT artists.

Lil Nas X’s one-of-one drop features the stop-motion recreation of his eye-popping “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” music video by the TikToker Rudy Willingham, while Marciante, Vaynerchuk, and x0r are looking to create the most-stitched TikTok of all time to turn into an NFT. The musician Grimes, for her part, will collaborate with both Poarch and Broski on NFTs, with the latter benefiting charity.

Each of the ensuing NFTs will be presented at a Museum Of The Moving Image exhibition in New York from Oct. 1 to Nov. 5.

“The creation that happens on TikTok helps drive culture and starts trends beyond the platform,” Nick Tran, TikTok’s global head of marketing, said in a statement. “Now, fans can own a moment on TikTok that helped shape the internet while supporting some of their favorite creators.”
