Longtime lifestyle vlogger Alisha Marie McDonal, who has been on YouTube since 2008, is foraying further into fashion entrepreneurship with the launch of a new clothing line called Parallel Apparel.
Billed as a unisex, size-inclusive, and ethically-made brand fusing activewear and loungewear, the collection was co-created by McDonal and her older sister, fellow creator Ashley Nicole, with the first collection dropping today. Parallel ranges in price from $35 to $105 and in size from XS to 3XL, with all items manufactured in Los Angeles. The brand’s tagline is #SexyAsIs.
The name Parallel is a nod to the sisters’ dissimilar yet complementary styles, and is available exclusively on its proprietary website
today beginning at 3 pm ET. Items include sweatpants, sweatshirts, bodysuits, bralettes, T-shirts, leggings, and more.Business-savvy McDonal has spun her YouTube renown — including 8.1 million subscribers and 4 million monthly views — into myriad business ventures, such as a hit podcast called Pretty Basic (and accompanying beauty collab with Tarte) as well as her own thriving merch brand. Ashley Nicole, for her part, counts 1.2 million subscribers.
