Beginning March 26, stateside folks will have to pay a little extra to catch the latest episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
For the first time since its November 2019 launch, Disney+ is upping the price of its subscription in the United States.
The service’s new monthly price is $7.99, up from $6.99, and its annual price is $79.99, up from $69.99.

Parent company Disney is also increasing the price of its Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundle from $12.99 per month to $13.99 per month.
As Variety points out, this may be Americans’ first price increase, but the Mouse House has upped the cost of Disney+ in other countries over the past couple of months. Canadians now pay $11.99 per month instead of $8.99 per month, and in Europe and the U.K., new and lapsed subscribers now sign on at €8.99/£7.99 per month, up from €6.99/£5.99.
Current Europe and U.K. subscribers will continue paying the launch rates through August 2021.
Disney+ recently hit 100 million paying subscribers globally. Around 30% of them are located in India and Indonesia, where the service costs as little as $5.20 per year.
