SuperBam Brings In Former Frederator Exec Jeremy Rosen, Social Veteran Francisco Cordero (Exclusive)

Digital rights management startup SuperBam–whose client roster includes creators like Chad Wild Clay, The Game Theorists, and Donut Media–has brought in two new executives amid a boom in business.

SuperBam’s Chris Landa, who was recently promoted to cofounder and chief revenue officer, tells Tubefilter the company saw “massive growth” in 2020, largely driven by the pandemic. “With COVID hurting the revenue streams of many creators, digital publishers, sports leagues, and more, there’s been an increase in alternate revenue streams that have brought a lot of new clients to SuperBam,” he says.

Because of this, SuperBam has grown its staff by 70% over the last few months, Landa adds. The latest hires are new executives Francisco Cordero and Jeremy Rosen.

Cordero, now SuperBam’s chief operating officer, is a social media/digital platform veteran; he joins the company from technology, social, and advertising consultancy firm Geist Consulting, where he was a partner. He previously held executive positions at PocketMath, InMobi, Groupon, AOL, Time Warner, Yahoo!, and MSN.

In his new role, Cordero will focus on expanding SuperBam’s core operations, helping its more than 300 clients reclaim revenue from pirated copies of their content. (As of last month

, SuperBam has reclaimed more than 10 billion views’ worth of revenue for YouTube, TikTok, and Twitch creators, it says.)

“We really want to become indispensable to our partners by adding transparency and control to the world of digital rights management,” Cordero said in a statement. “I’m beyond thrilled to help the company scale operations.”

Rosen, who formerly co-headed Frederator Networks’ digital division, has joined as SuperBam’s new VP of operations. At Frederator, he conceptualized and launched its anime-focused YouTube channel, Get in the Robot (732K subscribers), and oversaw growth for the entire network to tens of billions of views per month, he says.

At SuperBam, Rosen will oversee all operations, including digital rights management for creators and clients in traditional media and digital publishing.

Rian Bosak, SuperBam’s founder and CEO, says Cordero and Rosen both “have a strong history of leading digital companies that are focused on improving opportunities for the clients they serve, which is essential for any executive at SuperBam.”

He adds, “We’re excited to have two experienced and innovative professionals join the team and enhance our mission of offering services to creators that best work for their businesses.”
