YouTube phenom David Dobrik is set to help the Facebook Watch community bid farewell to the international horror show that was 2020.
Dobrik, alongside Keke Palmer, will host a year-end special created and produced by socially conscious media company ATTN: exclusively for Facebook’s episodic video hub. The stream will highlight memorable moments — and memes — from the year in a bid to reminisce with a little less heaviness. Dobrik and Palmer will also roast the years’ lowest lows amid comedic bits, dance breaks, and musical performances, People reports. The event will broadcast here on Dec. 29 at 3 pm ET.
Peace Out will also feature appearances from Anne Hathaway, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bob Saget, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Keegan-Michael Key, La La Anthony, Matthew McConaughey, Noah Cyrus, Steve Harvey, Tan France, and Snoop Dogg — who will express his gratitude for all of the artists who released new music during lockdown.
Additionally, Peace Out will comprise a charitable component, with Facebook donating 2.5 millions meals to hunger relief org Feeding America to help those who have been impacted by the pandemic.
“I’m so excited to be part of this celebration alongside Keke and the Facebook community,” Dobrik tells People. “I think we can all agree this year hasn’t been the best, but Peace Out 2020 will be a fun way to celebrate the end of the year, and hopefully a better 2021.”
Even with his vlog dormant for the majority of the year, Dobrik has had a relatively productive 2020, including the launch of a puzzle game, a highly successful voter registration push, a seed round for his social network startup Dispo, the debut of a fragrance brand, the creation of a Twitch channel, and a dodgeball competition series on the Discovery Channel.
