VidCon Now, the year-round, virtual iteration of the annual online video conference forged in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, is getting festive for the holidays.
Accordingly, VidCon Now is hosting virtual meet-and-greets with 12 top creators in the lead-up to Christmas — from Dec. 7 to 18, to be exact.
Participants include: U.K. TikTok collective The Wave House, reaction creator DangMattSmith (12 million subscribers), gamer LaurenzSide, family vloggers The Unicorn Family, skin care guru Hyram, TikTok dancer Michael Le (JustMaiko, 42.3 million followers), comedic vlogger Sadie Crowell, animators Alan Becker (13 million subscribers) and Maaz (TheAmaazing), lifestyle stars Teala Dunn and Gabi DeMartino, and vlogger/singer Alex ‘Blesiv’ Guzman.
Places are being made available on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to enter, fans must register for the meetup of their choosing on the VidCon Now website, with selections closing on Nov. 30 at 9 pm ET. Fans will receive an email on Dec. 3 letting them know whether or not they nabbed a spot — with each entrant receiving a max of three meet-and-greets. If fans are selected for more than three sessions, the three that they attend will be assigned at random, VidCon says.
VidCon is planning to return to IRL events — with virtual attendance options — in 2021. In the meantime, VidCon Now programming has consisted of Discord AMAs with top stars, virtual singing competitions, and more.
