UTA Taps Activision’s Eugene Wu To Work On Esports Brand Partnerships

Talent agency UTA has hired Eugene Wu to serve as a brand partnerships executive within its esports department.

Wu, an esports vet, will report to UTA’s head of esports, Damon Lau, and will focus on building brand partnerships for UTA’s roster of nearly 100 esports athletes and gaming creators.

Prior to joining UTA, Wu served as the senior manager of global partnerships at Activision Blizzard, leading worldwide brand partnerships for its Call Of Duty title. In this capacity, Wu orchestrated branded pairings between Call Of Duty and the likes of Pepsi, Adidas, Comcast, General Mills, Sony, and Burger King. Before Activision, Wu worked as a partnerships manager at micro-investment company Acorns and as a brand partnerships consultant for the UTA-owned esports company Press X.
