Monk-turned-digital content creator Jay Shetty, who has risen to renown for his motivational messaging, has signed with top talent agency WME.
Shetty, who was previously repped by CAA, will forge onward with new representation as he continues to pursue new and ongoing ventures, per The Hollywood Reporter. This includes Shetty’s year-old podcast, On Purpose — which is among the top 10 health and fitness series on the Apple Podcasts charts — and a forthcoming book titled Think Like A Monk, which is set to hit shelves on Sept. 8.
Shetty also counts a massive social following, where he disperses messages of improvement and inspiration, including 27 million followers on Facebook — a particularly lucrative platform for him — as well as 6.5 million followers on Instagram, and 3 million subscribers on YouTube. Last year, Shetty signed with Ellen DeGeneres‘ Ellen Digital Network to produce snackable, short-form content across multiple platforms.
