YouTubers Kristin And Marcus Johns Both Recovering From Surgery After Devastating Hit-And-Run

Creator couple Kristin and Marcus Johns are both recovering from surgery after being hit head-on by a car while out bicycling.

“Last night, Marcus and I were both in a horrible bicycle accident,” Kristin told fans in a tearful Instagram update (below). “A man going extremely fast hit us head-on and he fled the scene. My femur is snapped in half and I had surgery this morning. Marcus’s lower leg is broken.”

Marcus also posted an update on Instagram (below), writing that the two of them were riding in a bike/pedestrian lane in a residential neighborhood when they saw a man “driving erratically and swerving towards us.” Being struck knocked Marcus unconscious, but “Kristin said we flew about 50 feet from the impact,” he wrote.

He added that the two were able to see one another before heading into their respective surgeries, “and I am so glad she is safe.”

Both are facing a long road to recovery. Marcus said doctors anticipate it will take about four months of healing before they’re able to walk normally again.

The duo (who are longtime lifestyle creators with hundreds of thousands of subscribers on their individual YouTube channels and a shared channel) thanked fans for supporting them, and said they felt Jesus had a hand in keeping them safe.

“Jesus saved our lives last night. Please keep us in your prayers,” Kristin wrote. “I am thankful to have you guys who I know love us & have faith so please just lift us up & praise Jesus for saving us. I am thankful that we are alive.”
