The family of late YouTube star Corey La Barrie has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for memorial expenses, as well as the inevitable financial hardships that will follow his loss.
The campaign has garnered 3,600 donations since its estalishment yesterday, reaching roughly $70,000 of a $150,000 goal in less than 24 hours, including donations from some of La Barrie’s close friends and fellow YouTube creators like Kian Lawley, Corinna Kopf, Scotty Sire, and photographer Bryant Eslava. La Barrie, a comedic creator who also appeared in the first season of Lawley and Jc Caylen‘s The Reality House, died in an alleged drunk driving accident on Sunday, which also happened to be his 25th birthday. La Barrie was the passenger in a car purportedly being driven by fellow influencer and tattoo artist Daniel Silva, who has been arrested and booked for murder while still in the hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to TMZ.

“With such a shock, Corey’s family now has the mighty and wearying task to keep their lives in order after such a tragic loss for which they were not prepared,” the description for the campaign reads. “As you can imagine, the family is grieving right now and the last thing we want them to worry about is finances. Memorial expenses are only the beginning for Corey’s family.”
