Studio71 Names Kristin Mason SVP And Head Of U.S. Sales

Studio71 has tapped sales vet Kristin Mason to serve as its new SVP and head of U.S. sales.

In this role, Mason will work closely with brands and ad agencies to grow Studio71’s advertising business in the U.S. Studio71, which is owned by German media giant ProSiebenSat.1, is a YouTube multi-channel network, digital talent management company, and content studio that creates original programming for myriad platforms.

Mason will be based in New York and report to Studio71’s chief revenue office, Matt Crowley. She will not only oversee monetization for Studio71’s premium content brands that reach 115 million U.S. viewers — including Soul Publishing, Donut Media, FBE, and Vat19 — but will also spearhead influencer marketing sales around Studio71-repped talent like Michelle Khare, Kyler And Mad, The LaBrant Fam, and Matt Steffanina.

Prior to joining Studio71, Mason served as CRO of The Second Shift — which connects businesses with women who are experts in marketing, finance, sales, and HR. Throughout her 16-year tenure in the digital media and sales management space, she has held roles at HuffPost, Yahoo, Oath, and Verizon Media, as well as Exponential Interactive, Evolve Media, and Say Media.

“I’ve watched Studio71 grow considerably over the last few years across established platforms like Youtube and CTV,” Mason said in a statement, “and emerging opportunities like TikTok, IGTV, and podcasts. I am thrilled to join such a talented team.”

This year, Studio71 says it will work to expand its portfolio of owned-and-operated streaming TV apps, YouTube channels, Facebook pages, and podcasts in a bid to hypercharge ad revenues. Some of the recent programming that it has produced includes Adulting with Emma Chamberlain for Snapchat and the third season of The Real Bros of Simi Valley — starring Jimmy Tatro — for Facebook Watch. The company says it currently counts 70 podcasts that generate over 18 million monthly streams.
