Here Are Your 2019 Streamy Awards Winners

Well, folks, that’s officially a wrap on the 2019 Streamy Awards. Between the Dec. 11 Premiere Awards and last Friday’s main event, the ninth annual iteration of the Streamys handed out 39 awards to the top movers and makers in the digital video space.

This year’s ceremony, streamed exclusively on YouTube from the historic Beverly Hilton hotel, came with a bit of a twist. For the first time, instead of having a host, the Streamys (which are produced by Tubefilter and dick clark productions) welcomed a cavalcade of creator and celebrity presenters, including: Emma Chamberlain, Mr. Kate, Rosanna Pansino, Mark Rober, Brandon Rogers, Patrick Starrr, Hannah Stocking, Kalen Allen, Marques Brownlee, Joey Graceffa, Gabbie Hanna, Paris Hilton, Zane Hijazi, Casey Neistat, Nikita Dragun, and Sierra Schultzzie.

The most-nominated creator this year was David Dobrik, who picked up a whopping 11 nods across categories including Creator of the Year, Podcast, Brand Engagement for his partnership with SeatGeek, and Influencer Campaign twice, once each for his campaigns with Chipotle and SeatGeek. He ended up walking away with three wins: the First Person award, for creators who primarily make vlog-style content where they address their audience; the Ensemble Cast award for his part in the Vlog Squad; and the Collaboration award for the video (so far viewed more than 21 million times) where he and partner-in-crime Kylie Jenner surprised unsuspecting strangers with a Jenner encounter.

Audience Choice Creator of the Year, as voted by the general public via Twitter, went to Tana Mongeau (now Tana Paul), who accepted it with a teary, obviously heartfelt speech. “I feel like the misfit, the outcast, all of those things,” she said. “And I stood right here a year ago, and I literally held Shane Dawson’s award, and the first thing I said to all of you people was, ‘I will never be Creator of the Year.’ I really just want to say thank you to the people who saved my life and got me here, and that is my fans and Shane Dawson. So thank you so much for inspiring me.”

(Dawson, by the way, also snagged an award this year, bringing home the Documentary prize for his palette-selling docuseries The Secret World of Jeffree Star.)

The Streamys’ other publicly-voted-via-Twitter award, Audience Choice Show of the Year, went to Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal’s long-running weekday series Good Mythical Morning, which has 15.9 million subscribers and brings between 80 and 100 million views per month. The Good Mythical team also had thanks for their fans:
