iJustine To Host Two-Day ‘Vlog University’ Educational Conference

YouTube veteran ‘iJustine’ Ezarik, who turned her Apple obsession into a wildly impressive run as one of the platform’s preeminent tech review channels, is slated to share some of her video-making secrets at an inaugural event dubbed Vlog University With iJustine.

Ezarik — who counts over 11 million followers across all of her social media channels — will be partnering with educational conference producer Future Media on the event, which is slated for Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 in Los Angeles. The conference will consist of video production sessions (script writing, scheduling, studio setup, editing software, lighting); marketing and business workshops; and panel discussions around myriad topics including best online media practices, content creation, and how to establish a profitable channel.

A full conference pass will be priced at $299, while a 15% discount is being extended to students, faculty, government employees, and nonprofit organizations. A VIP Pass, giving attendees access to preferred seating throughout the event and a special luncheon with the speakers, is priced at $645.

While the program will feature other experts and members of Ezarik’s team, she will serve as its core draw — and the event is also named for a educational series on her channel dubbed Vlog University

that she launched almost exactly a decade ago. Ezarik will host an evening panel about mental health and creator burnout followed by a networking event attended by fellow attendees, speakers, and brand exhibitors. The event, held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, will be open to creators of every size.

“When I began creating content over thirteen years ago, this space didn’t exist,” Ezarik said in a statement. “I’m so happy that I get to share my experience and knowledge with the world and to help the next generation of creative and intuitive creators build a business around their passions as I have.”

Vlog University With iJustine is the first in a series of influencer-led events hosted by Future Media that will seek to educate aspiring creators, the company says. And this isn’t wholly new territory for Ezarik, either. In August she launched another educational venture — a video-editing tutorial app called iJustine Teaches FCP X alongside producer Ripple Training.
