Moonbug Inks Distribution Deal For ‘Little Baby Bum’ Spin-Off in The Nordics

Moonbug, the global kids’ content company, has inked a deal with Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT) to distribute one of its series, Mia’s Magic Playground, across the Nordic region exclusively on the NENT-owned, on-demand streaming service Viaplay.

Mia’s Magic Playground is a spin-off of Little Baby Bum — the massive YouTube channel (47 million subscribers, 30 billion lifetime views) that Moonbug acquired upon its founding last fall. The series follows a popular character from Little Baby Bum and two of her friends as they venture to an imaginary land to work out creative solutions and learn applicable life lessons. Season one, bowing early next year, will comprise 24 seven-minute episodes, which will air across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.

Little Baby Bum and Mia are extremely popular with kids and families in the Nordics, as well as all over the world,” Moonbug EMEA head Nicolas Eglau

said in a statement. “Viaplay has an established library of popular children’s programs and is the ideal partner to bring Mia’s next chapter to life so fans can continue to follow Mia and her friends on their adventures.”
