Studio71 UK is adding to its burgeoning podcast roster in partnership with modeling agency Models1.
A new fashion podcast dubbed The Model Pocdast will give listeners an inside look at the industry — past and present — with an array of luminary guests. It will be hosted by Robyn Bright, a model, presenter, and international scout at Models1. The first episode features Yasmin Le Bon, an English model who is the wife of Duran Duran lead singer Simon Le Bon.
Three episodes are live today to coincide with the kickoff of London Fashion Week: Le Bon’s episode; an interview with Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council; and a fashion week round-up. Subsequent installments will welcome British model Iskra Lawrence and journalist/filmmaker Fenn O’Meally, who will discuss diversity and representation in the fashion space, safeguarding models, the creative process, and more.
The Model Podcast — produced by Jack Claramunt and executive produced by Tom Payne, Jody Smith, and Jess Crabbe — is the ninth podcast produced by Studio71 UK, following wellness series Power Hour, hosted by Adrienne Herbert, and F**ks Given, a sex advice show hosted by the YouTube duo Come Curious. Both shows boast six-digit download counts, Studio71 says. Stateside, Studio71 produces podcast alongside leading creators like Marques Brownlee, Amanda Cerny and Sommer Ray, and Brittany Furlan,
“We’re very proud of the podcast we have created with Models1 and the conversations we have been able to open around the fashion world,” Studio71 UK content director Tom Payne said in a statement. “The industry is often seen as a hard one to penetrate, but through Models1’s legacy within the industry, we have been able to get beneath the usual gloss and offer a real insight from Some of the world’s top specialists.”
