Eva Gutowski, the YouTube star — and actress — whose MyLifeAsEva channel has clocked a stunning 10.4 million subscribers, is the latest digital star to hop on the PETA train.
Gutowski, a lifestyle vlogger, is starring in a new campaign for the animal rights organization to urge fans not to visit marine parks like SeaWorld, aquariums, or to pay for ‘swim with dolphins’ sessions. In the print ad, Gutowski is pictured trapped in a glass tank, as if she were a dolphin in one of the aforementioned facilities. The ad’s tagline states, “This Is No Place for Animals. Don’t Support Marine Parks.”
PETA notes that wild dolphins swim up to 60 miles per day in family pods, while orca whales travel up to 140 miles a day — both of which are unfeasible in the confines of tanks filled with chemically-treated water. PETA also notes that animals participating in ‘swim with dolphins’ events are in danger of consuming lethal objects, or jumping out of pools to their death.

SO STUNNING 👏🐬
Actor, influencer, and animal advocate @lifeaseva stars in a new PETA campaign and has a powerful message: A tank is NO PLACE FOR ANYONE!
Never visit places that imprison animals and use them for entertainment, like #SeaWorld. https://t.co/f62OIwqF4n pic.twitter.com/XFvm61aO56

In addition to the photo ad, Gutowski — who counts 22 million collective followers across social media — also created an accompanying behind-the-scenes video spot. “For years, I’ve seen people post that picture, like, in a tank with dolphins,” she says in a clip. “Seeing whales in the ocean is the craziest experience. It could never compare to seeing a whale in a tank with gross, nasty, stagnant water…When it comes to visiting an aquarium or a zoo, just say no.”
Other digital stars who have created ad campaigns for PETA include GloZell, Kalel, Hayes Grier, Teala Dunn, Bella Thorne, Amanda Cerny, Gregg Sulkin, and Noah Cyrus.
