BuzzFeed To Host ‘Internet Live’ Variety Show With Lil Nas X, JoJo Siwa, Jason Nash

BuzzFeed is launching a new live event endeavor dubbed Internet Live, whereby the digital publisher will bring trending topics to the stage in an hourlong variety show.

Internet Live will take place next Thursday at Webster Hall in New York City, and will feature a performance by rapper du jour Lil Nas X, as well as appearances by JoJo Siwa (pictured above), Jersey Shore Family Vacation star Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, uplifting dance video creator Donté Colley, ‘Damn Daniel‘ stars Daniel Lara and Josh Holzz, nine-year-old sketch comedian Ava Ryan, Zoe ‘Disaster Girl’ Roth, teen climate change activist Alexandria Villaseñor, Broadway star Shoshana Bean, vlogger Jason Nash, and BuzzFeed personalities Kelsey Impicciche and Eric Tabach.

BuzzFeed likens the event to scrolling through your social media feed onstage, with bite-sized segments that will cover trending topics, nostalgic memes, live interviews, and interactive games. Internet Live will be published in video from across BuzzFeed’s various channels on Aug. 4, with never-before-seen footage and other highlights from the evening.

The event is being curated by BuzzFeed writers, editors, and producers, and is being executive produced by Alex Coletti and Frank Garritano of live events company Show Shop. Internet Live’s producers include Show Shop’s Gillian Appleby and BuzzFeed’s Ben Kaufman and Katie Notopoulos.

“The internet offers a little bit of everything, and with this event, we can give our audience the opportunity to experience the best of the internet in real life,” BuzzFeed CMO Ben Kaufman said in a statement. “We’re excited to kick off Internet Live with Lil Nas X, a new type of star who truly understands and defines internet culture with music that resonates across genres and identities, and JoJo Siwa, whose tour is making waves across the nation.”
