Colleen Ballinger Returns To Netflix With ‘Miranda Sings Live…Your Welcome’

Today, Miranda Sings returns to Netflix.

The iconic comedic character is a longtime alter ego of YouTube star Colleen Ballinger, has 8.5 million subscribers, and regularly nets between 20 and 40 million views per month on the platform. Ballinger (as Miranda) previously starred in Haters Back Off, which followed Miranda’s off-kilter fictional family. It was the first series Netflix developed starring a digital creator.

The scripted show was cancelled after two seasons, but on June 4, Netflix subscribers will once again have fresh Miranda Sings on their screens, thanks to Ballinger’s first comedy special, Miranda Sings Live…Your Welcome. (No, that “your” isn’t an error — it’s a reference to Miranda’s constant struggles with spelling and grammar.)

Ballinger dropped the trailer on her YouTube channel May 31. It’s since received more than half a million views, and at press time is No. 44 on the Trending tab. As you’ll see in the trailer below, it features plenty of riffs on Ballinger’s — and therefore Miranda’s — at-the-time pregnancy. (Ballinger gave birth to a baby boy in December.)

Ballinger filmed Miranda Sings Live last September in Washington, D.C., just a month after wrapping her 2018 nationwide tour, …No Offense. She’s currently on a mini tour that launched yesterday in Pomono, Calif., and concludes June 16 in Tucson, with one follow-up show in Salt Lake City July 20. You can see more info about her upcoming show cities and dates here.
