It’s been a while, but we’re back with another installment of the weekly Tubefilter Chart of the Top 50 Most Viewed YouTube Channels Worldwide and OMFG T-Series gets a LOT of views in a seven-day time period.
In a surprise to absolutely no one paying a modicum of attention, the Indian music record label and film production company T-Series is in the #1 spot on the worldwide chart this week up 6% from the week prior with a staggering 618.6 million views. In a second place that’s far, far away is another online Indian entertainment destination. Sony Entertainment Television’s SET India was down 8% but still took home nearly 323 million views.
In the #3 spot is 5-Minute Crafts. The US-based kid-friendly purveyor of DIY videos (and the only non-Indian channel in the Top 5) shot up 48% on the week to top out just shy of 238.5 million views. Next up in fourth place is yet another YouTube presence of an Indian entertainment entity. The Hindi-language cable and satellite TV channel zeetv took a slight 6% dip to bottom out an more than 196.2 million views on the week. And rounding out the Top 5 is SAB TV. The YouTube outpost of the Indian pay television channel owned by Sony Pictures Networks closed out the seven-day stretch down 4% at almost 194 million views.
Marvel‘s YouTube channel generally does OK in any given week, roughly racking up somewhere in the ballpark of four to 11 million views. But those are weeks when no big movie trailer drops on the channel. And a big move trailer dropped on the channel this week.
