VSauce, the educational YouTube network whose videos seek a window into the human mind, has launched a new podcast called The Create Unknown. The show — which hails from the network’s VSauce2 vertical — will consist of interviews with top digital creators about their rise to fame and how they navigate the ever-changing digital media landscape.
The podcast is hosted by VSauce2 host Kevin Lieber and Matt Tabor, who is a producer on the channel. VSauce2 has amassed half a billion views thanks to videos that weave together science, technology, and psychology to explain the complexities of the human experience. The podcast officially bowed last week with an introductory drop of two episodes — one featuring science creator Destin ‘Smarter Every Day’ Sandlin and the other with meme makers Dolan Dark and Grandayy. Additional episodes — produced in collaboration with Triangle Content and featuring the likes of iJustine and the other VSauce hosts — will roll out every other Thursday.
In addition to being distributed on standard podcast platforms, episodes are also posted in full to a dedicated YouTube channel. Check out Lieber’s announcement video below.
VSauce, founded by YouTube luminary Michael Stevens, comprises two other flagship education channels in addition to VSauce2 (4 million subscribers). VSauce1 (13.8 million subscribers) features Stevens discussing educational topics tangentially, while VSauce3 (3.6 million subscribers) is hosted by Jake Roper and is primarily dedicated to gaming.
