U.K. YouTube sensation Morgan ‘Morgz’ Hudson is hitting the road for his first-ever live tour.
The swoopy-haired 17-year-old, who has grown from 8,000 subscribers to over 6 million in just three years, is beloved for his pranks, challenge videos, and Fortnite play-alongs. And now, fans can experience Hudson’s antics IRL during his first-ever set of live shows kicking off in January. Hudson will appear at the O2 Academy in his native Sheffield on Jan. 26 as well as London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Jan. 27. Tickets go on sale tomorrow here.
On Hudson’s rapidly growing and massively-viewed channel, he frequently pranks his mother and his girlfriend — fellow creator Kiera Bridget. Accordingly, the live show has been dubbed Morgz Vs. Mum. And Hudson’s mum, Jill, is no slouch on YouTube herself — her channel counts a cool 1.7 million subscribers. It remains to be seen what kinds of antics the two will enact onstage — though Hudson teased on Twitter that “someone may be getting slimed.”
Hudson’s near-daily videos garner millions of views apiece — with his most-viewed clips featuring him secretly spending the night in his girlfriend’s house (22 million views) and spending $500 on Fortnite currency with his mom’s credit card (15 million views). He initially launched his YouTube career as a gamer but subsequently moved into the kinds of over-the-top stunts that resonate with younger viewers. Hudson also vends an extensive range of merch.
And he’s far from the only creator on the busting U.K. vlogger scene to parlay his massive following into the live events business. Dan & Phil, PJ ‘KickThePJ’ Liguori, and Dan ‘DanDTM’ Middleton have also launched live show ventures in recent months.
