Zane Hijazi Fetes 200 Vlogs With ‘Rent’ Cover, Medieval Photo Shoot, Lavish Gifts, And A Sexually-Charged Music Video (Watch)

Zane Hijazi is no stranger to outlandish celebrations to mark his myriad YouTube milestones.

Last year, for instance, to fete the explosive growth of his channel amid 100 videos, the Viner-turned-vlogger hosted an over-the-top photoshoot with his close friends and frequent collaborators — including fellow YouTube heavyweights David Dobrik, Jason Nash, Gabbie Hanna, and Liza Koshy. He then plastered the group photo on a massive billboard in the heart of Los Angeles.

For his 200th video, which dropped today — the 24-year-old is up to his same old tricks, with some new surprises in store. The SeatGeek-sponsored clip almost needs to be seen to be believed — starting with a spoof of the musical Rent inspired by the antics of his ‘Vlog Squad‘ creator posse that quickly transitions into a high-fashion photoshoot taking its cue from Vogue’s annual MET Ball. The flashy production value of these scenes is palpably extravagant, though Hijazi then tops himself by doling out big-ticket surprise gifts to his friends, including a new camera for vlogger duo Carly And Erin and a trip to Japan for Matt King.

The coup de grace, however, turns out to be a brand new car for Hijazi’s little sister, Hidaya, who is learning to drive and about to head off to college. And that’s not all: the vlog concludes with another musical number — a sexually-charged original song and music video called “Boom” — produced by Bruce Wiegner — which is currently available for download on iTunes.

“I just want you guys to know that I love you and I appreciate everything you guys do for me,” Hijazi thanks his 2.4 million subscribers at the clip’s conclusion.
