After announcing her transition into acting last year with her theatrical debut in a play called Confidence, lifestyle vlogger Tanya Burr has booked her first major film role.
Burr has joined the cast of the U.K. found-footage horror film Cassette, per ScreenDaily. Principal photography for the film, which is being produced by Parkhouse Pictures (Anna And The Apocalypse) and directed by newcomer Marcus Harben, kicks off this week in London. The independently-funded project will follow four students who move into a haunted apartment and find a cassette tape revealing the secrets behind the death of the previous tenant.
Burr, who counts 3.6 million subscribers on her YouTube channel and 3.1 million followers on Instagram, will be joined by co-stars Harry Jarvis (High Strung: Free Dance) and Loreece Harrison (Black Mirror).
