Louise Pentland released her debut novel Wilde Like Me last July, whereupon it promptly shot to the top of the Sunday Times Bestsellers list. Now, roughly a year later, the 33-year-old UK-based mommy and lfiestyle vlogger has unveiled a follow-up title, Wilde About The Girl, which is slated to hit shelves on Aug. 9.
The Zaffre-published series centers around protagonist Robin Wilde — as well as her daughter, aunt, best friend, and the men in her life. In book two, per its jacket description, Robin’s love life is ticking along nicely and a thrilling opportunity arises at work — but her best friend Lacey is struggling to conceive, her daughter Lyla is exhibiting behavior problems at school, and Auntie Kath is hiding her loneliness under a bubbly veneer.
To fete the release, Pentland will once again embark on a book tour across the UK. She will hit a total of seven Waterstones and WH Smith book stores in August to chat about Wilde and sign copies alongside fellow YouTube star Carrie Hope Fletcher and acclaimed writers Paige Toon and Lindsay Kelk. Tickets are available here.
Pentland, who gave birth to her second daughter Pearl in January, counts 2.6 million subscribers on her Sprinkle Of Glitter YouTube channel. Her first book, in September 2015, was a non-fiction advice tome titled Life With A Sprinkle Of Glitter.
