Talent Manager Sarah Weichel To Lead Anonymous Content’s New Digital-Focused Division

Anonymous Content, the entertainment company whose credits include TV shows like True Detective, Mr. Robot, and 13 Reasons Why, is looking to make a move onto what it’s calling “emerging platforms.” In order to do that, it has turned to Sarah Weichel, a veteran talent manager in the online video space, who will lead a newly-minted operation within Anonymous. She will be the head of the company’s emerging platforms division, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In her new role, Weichel will help Anonymous develop its relationships with producers and managers. The ultimate goal of the new division is to discover, support, and forge partnerships with notable digital talent. Last year, for example, Anonymous inked a deal to adapt the web series Stupid Idiots for TV.

Weichel, previously an employee of the digital media company Studio71, manages some of the biggest names in the online video world. Her clients include Indian-Canadian YouTube star Lilly Singh, the brainiacs of AsapSCIENCE, and former Smosh member Anthony Padilla. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Weichel’s charges will remain with her as she makes her move to Anonymous.

“I’m thrilled to be joining a team of progressive thinkers and industry leaders at Anonymous Content,” said Weichel. “Together, we will reimagine the way stories reach new audiences, across all platforms, in partnership with the most respected storytellers in both the traditional and digital spaces.”

Weichel’s other work in the digital media industry includes her role as one of developers of the recently-launched startup Officially Pinned and her contributions to the Internet Creators Guild.
