Tween Studio Brat Brings First Series To Snapchat Starring Tessa Brooks And Tristan Tales

Tween-leaning production studio Brat will launch its first series on Snapchat. The previously-announced Boss Cheer — a glimpse into the world of competitive cheerleading starring noted influencers Tessa Brooks and Tristan Tales — will bow on the platform’s Discover page in English-speaking countries on July 15, Deadline reports.

It marks the first-ever deal between Brat and Snapchat, as the nascent digital studio primarily distributes content on its YouTube channel, which has amassed more than 1.8 million subscribers and 302 million lifetime views since it launched last year. Boss Cheer premiered on YouTube last week (see below), and its first two episodes have already garnered roughly 950,000 views combined.

On the show, Brooks and Tales play cheer coaches who must whip their squad into shape before a regional competition. Rounding out the cast are vlogger Jordan Doww, Sofie Dossi (America’s Got Talent), Sarah Reasons (Dance Moms), and Nicole Laeno (Dance-Off Juniors).

“Brat has quickly become one of the leading content brands for a new generation,” Sean Mills, Snap’s head of original content, said in a statement. “With Snapchat’s core audience being under 25, we’re confident bringing their shows to our platform will be a huge success.”

“For the talent on our shows, and the audience they’ve captured, Snap is the water cooler for daily conversation,” added Brat co-founder Darren Lachtman. “We’re excited to now present our hit series on the platform as well.”
