Complex Networks Announces Podcasts Tied To Popular Web Series Like ‘Hot Ones’

Since launching a slate of digital content across channels like Complex and First We FeastComplex Networks has sought new formats for its most popular shows. Now, it is taking them to a new medium: podcasting. The media company has announced its plan to launch audio programs based off some of its top series, beginning with a Everyday Struggle companion that launched on Monday and continuing with a Hot Ones podcast that will arrive later in the summer.

Everyday Struggle, Complex’s daily morning show, features debates between DJ Akademiks and Wayno, moderated by Nadeska Alexis. Across more than 200 episodes, Akademiks and Wayno have discussed the top trending topics in the world of hip-hop, and the show’s companion podcast will add more depth to their conversations.

“The stories we debate on Everyday Struggle unfold throughout the week,” said Alexis, who also serves as Everyday Struggle‘s executive producer, in a press release. “The podcast is a great way for us to recap the biggest moments with added commentary that contextualizes all the news. For fans of the show and anyone who wants to know what’s currently happening in music and culture, our podcast is the place to listen.”
