Howie Mandel To Host Nat Geo Wild Series Inspired By ‘Animals Doing Things’ Instagram Feed

Late last year, the social media-native Doing Things brand announced a partnership with Howie Mandel, the TV personality known to many as the host of the NBC game show Deal or No Deal. Now, the fruits of that partnership have become evident: Mandel will host Howie Mandel’s Animals Doing Things, a TV series that will air on Nat Geo Wild and will be inspired by the popular Animals Doing Things Instagram feed.

The Animals Doing Things TV show, which is slated to premiere at 9 PM ET on June 16, will feature the sort of adorable pet content that fans have come to expect from the Instagram feed of the same name. Featured videos will include “dancing puppies, wrestling kittens, musical monkeys and acrobatic lizards,” according to a press release. Apropos of nothing, here is a compilation featuring small dogs, which arrived on the Animals Doing Things YouTube channel last year.

Mandel will introduce these cute clips while also providing his commentary on them. He will also be joined by experts who while shine light on the curious behavior of the featured animals. Doing Things Media’s Reid Hailey, Derek Lucas, and Max Benator are serving as the show’s Executive Producers.

“Who doesn’t want the best internet animal videos edited together in one place?” said Mandel in the press release. “I can’t think of a better home for this show than Nat Geo WILD, where the viewers are the most passionate animal lovers on the planet.”

Animals Doing Things has more than 1.7 million followers on Instagram. Other feeds in the Doing Things network include Drunk People Doing Things and Old People Doing Things.
