Tamera Mowry-Housley Joins Sister Tia On Facebook Watch, Along With Nala The Cat

Facebook Watch just got two new series — one starring a cat, and another starring a Mowry sister.

Instagram’s most-followed cat Nala’s Facebook Watch series debuted today at 10AM PST. She and her owner, Varisiri Mathachittiphan, are based in Los Angeles. The program is called The Nala Show, and it features Nala and Mathachittiphan’s other pets doing, you know, pet things.

Reminders of the show’s debut on the Nala Cat Facebook page encouraged viewers to join the “Facebook Watch Party event,” where viewers could watch the premiere together and post questions and comments in a live chat during the show. Nala’s Facebook page has around 2.5 million followers, while the Siamese mix’s Instagram has roughly 3.5 million fans.

In Tamera Mowry-Housley’s show, Help Us Get Married, the co-host of daytime talk show The Real will help three couples plan their weddings. It’s set to debut on Thursday, May 3 with couples debating wedding-related decisions, like their venue and the bride’s attire. After each episode, viewers will get to weigh in on the decisions in Facebook polls, the results of which will go live on Fridays. Ultimately, viewers’ input will help shape the couples’ weddings.

“Directly engaging with the community as they connect with one another, voice their opinions, and ultimately impact the outcome of our couples’ special day is unlike anything I have ever done before,” said Mowry-Housley in a statement. “I remember planning my own wedding and how stressful decision-making can really be for every little detail. Through the help of the community on Facebook, I hope we can make the process for each couple much easier.”

The series, produced by Thumb Candy Media, part of B-17 Entertainment’s digital division, will span 12 weeks. On Facebook Watch, it will join a series from Mowry-Housley’s sister Tia Mowry, called Quick Fix, in which Mowry shares parenting tips. Both sisters originally gained fame from the 1990s network television show, Sister, Sister.

The Facebook Watch slate so far has included shows from YouTube creators like Fine Brothers Entertainment, traditional television stars like Bear Grylls and Kerry Washington, and social influencers like Kim Kardashian. All it was really missing was the second Mowry sister and cat videos, until now.
