The Young Turks Produces An Exploration Of The ‘True North’ For New Go90 Series

To truly understand the impact climate change is having on our planet, it helps to take a trip to the True North. That’s the philosophy espoused by progressive-leaning news organization The Young Turks, which has produced a new docu-series that has launched on Go90.

True North follows an Arctic expedition co-led by John Iadarola, who co-hosts The Young Turks’ ThinkTank channel, and Chavala Madlena, an investigative journalist who has appeared on The Young Turks’ news show in the past. Together, Iadarola and Madlena take a trip to the frigid polar region in order to take in the natural splendor around them, connect with some of the local natives, and examine the ways in which climate change has impacted our northernmost climate.

A preview of their journey can be seen in a trailer for True North. The trailer premiered last month.

The Young Turks first announced True North last year. “This partnership with Go90 has provided TYT with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to report from the North Pole and advance the world’s body of knowledge about climate change and the environment,” said TYT Chief Business Officer Steve Oh in a statement released at the time. “True North is a great example of the type of content TYT excels at creating: engaging and informative reporting on global issues that resonates with a young, progressive, millennial audience.”

True North spans 15 episodes, all of which were made available for viewers on the show’s release day. You can find them over at Go90.
