Fullscreen Inks Deals With Six Creators, Including ‘Fred’ Star Lucas Cruikshank

One of YouTube’s most legendary creators has new management. Lucas Cruikshank, whose Fred channel was the first YouTube hub to ever surpass one million subscribers, is one of six creators who will now have management from Fullscreen.

Fred was a YouTube fixture in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Cruikshank’s signature character, known for his shrill voice, even made his way into TV, where Fred: The Movie premiered in 2010 (to some pretty solid viewership numbers). It was followed by two sequels. Since ceasing production on Fred videos nearly three years ago, Cruikshank has sustained his digital presence through vlogs and other videos.

The other creators who have signed with Fullscreen represent a number of top categories in the online video world. Singer-songwriter Alex G has collaborated with many other top musicians on YouTube; Khadi Don is a comedian who has appeared on several TV shows; Thomas Halbert is an up-and-coming beauty guru; Jake Koehler is a treasure hunter and fisherman; and Bobby Mares is a well-rounded creator known for both vlogs and music. By joining Fullscreen, all of the above creators will be able to take advantage of a full suite of management services.

Five of the creators will join the Fullscreen network on YouTube in addition to linking up with the evolving digital media company’s management team. Cruikshank’s deal covers his management, but he remains partnered with the Studio71 network (the company with which he made a lot of his earlier Fred projects).

“We’re at a time where talent coming on board with Fullscreen are looking for an integrated, 360-degree approach from their managers,” said Fullscreen talent division head Mahzad Babayan. “Our team looks at careers holistically and has the expertise to advise on what is best for them and to help them navigate the entertainment business.”

Other creators who recently signed with Fullscreen include Karina Garcia, The Dobre Brothers, and Meghan Tonjes.
