Project Name: The Traveling Good
Asking For: $25,000 through Kickstarter
Amount Raised Thus Far (At Time Of Post): $12,692
Days Remaining In Campaign (At Time Of Post): 11
Description: Put aside your cynicism — a Kickstarter campaign is looking to raise money in order to highlight just, charitable causes across the United States. BC Serna is the ringleader behind The Traveling Good, a ten-city tour that will help citizens connect to organizations that are looking to make the world a better place.
At each stop on the tour, Serna and co. will throw a party that will celebrate the work of local nonprofits. The idea is that attendees will be inspired to get involved in important causes. Thanks to the work of the influencers Serna has recruited to document the trip, digital-native viewers will be uplifted too, even if they don’t live close by.
As Serna explains in his pitch video, doing good doesn’t require one to leave home. He hopes The Traveling Good will show people that they can make a big difference through simple actions.
Creator Bio: Serna chronicles his travels across the world on social media. Check him out on Instagram.
Best Perk: As Serna and his team traverse the country, they will send postcards from the road to anyone who chips in at least $30. This perk comes with a hug as well.
Why You Should Fund It: The Traveling Good is a simple idea with a strong, upbeat message. In a world that can feel overwhelming, Serna and his friends have figured out a spirited way to get people excited to help out with the causes around them. Help The Traveling Good come to be, and you’ll be able to say that you contributed to the production of a wholesome, positive piece of content.
