On YouTube, Frazier Khattri maintains an upbeat attitude, and millions of viewers are tuning in as a result. Khattri’s FaZe Kay channel is associated with the FaZe Clan, which is known for its prowess in first-person shooter (FPS) games. More so than video games, however, Khattri — who is represented by Fullscreen — is famous for his vlogs, in which he often consumes large portions of fast foods or pulls off impressive water bottle flips. After Khattri surpassed YouTube’s golden milestone, we spoke to him about his work on the internet.
Tubefilter: How does it feel to have more than one million YouTube subscribers? What do you have to say to your fans?

Frazier Khattri: It feels amazing for me to hit one million subs. I’ve been grinding YouTube for years and it worked out! Thank you to everyone who has watched me through the time I’ve been doing this, been a long fun ride and it’s only gonna get crazier!
TF: With so many vloggers on YouTube, what would you say sets your channel apart from the pack?
FK: I make daily content so always having an original idea would be impossible. I love buying dumb amounts of food for my friends. I also keep high energy and have lots of other people join in with whatever I’m doing in my vlogs. It’s what all my fans love!
TF: Where do you discover new challenges for your channel?
FK: I find top trends and challenges on YouTube and put my own twist on them.
TF: What in particular draws you to fast food as a video subject?
FK: Well firstly I love food… I just can’t get enough of it. Honestly I’ve always been known for how much food I buy and eat with my friends so I decided to go over the top, film it, and make videos. People ended up loving it so much I made it a part of what I do almost every week!
TF: Why do you think the “water bottle flip” trend took off as much as it did?
FK: I believe the trend took off so much due to how easy it was for everyone to attempt. Almost everyone has or has had a water bottle so doing it is easy, and when you get good it’s satisfying.
TF: What’s the greatest water bottle flip you personally have landed?
FK: The greatest water bottle flip I landed was in my room on livestream to my fans. I threw it behind my head sitting down at my desk, and it landed at the back of the room on top of my wardrobe!
TF: How would you explain the FaZe clan to someone who has never heard of it before?
FK: FaZe is family. We all started out as gamers and adapted and transitioned into creating vlogs and content more people enjoyed while also having the best professional talent across every mainstream FPS game.
TF: What’s your favorite part of being a member of the online video community?
FK: My favourite part of being part of this community is the growth I see in individuals and the community as a whole. I’ve been around all of this since before the start and seeing where I and everyone else have come is insane. I can’t wait to see where it takes us!
TF: What’s next for your channel? Any fun plans?
FK: I have lots of plans for my channel in 2018! Some are secret and some involve thousand dollar gifts or 1000 pizzas in a burger…who knows?
