Music is a frequent topic in the videos shared by twin brothers Niki and Sammy Albon, who are known online as Niki and Sammy. Now, thanks to a deal with Britain’s top broadcaster, the twins will be able to share their favorite bands with a wider audience. They will host a radio show called Niki & Sammy’s Peachy Podcast which will air weekly on BBC Radio 1.
On their show, Niki & Sammy will discuss internet trends, dish on gossip, and, of course, play music. One of their favorite genres, K-pop, is likely to be a significant part of the mix.
Niki and Samy have been given an early morning time slot, with their show beginning at 3 AM local time each Thursday. For fans without insomnia, content from the Peachy Podcast
will be available on the Radio 1 website and the BBC iPlayer Radio app. This is not the first time the BBC has given a radio show to a pair of YouTube standouts. In 2014, it enlisted mega-popular Brits Dan Howell and Phil Lester for a program that featured other social media stars as guests.
The first episode of the Peachy Podcast will become available for download on Monday, February 19. It will air on the radio three days after that.
