Google CEO Sundar Pichai, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki To Help Recode Kick Off MSNBC Interview Series

Recode is bringing its thorough reporting on the tech sector to TV screens across the nation. The Vox Media-owned publication has announced an as-of-yet untitled interview series that will air on TV via MSNBC.

The interviews will be conducted in a town hall fashion in front a live audience, with Recode co-founder Kara Swisher (pictured above) directing the conversation. The publication’s goal, in its own words, is to discuss the massive effect technology has had on our everyday lives.

“Since we are just beginning to address this accelerated change and the disruption it brings around the globe, we hope to use this moment to have substantive conversations about what is happening, the challenges we face and the solutions that are available,” reads an introductory post. “Through this series, we will tap into a range of topics with thought leaders that include corporate executives and entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, government officials, academics and citizens.”

The first two guests on Recode‘s series will be Google CEO Sundar Pichai and YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki. In previous appearances at the tech publications conferences and on its podcasts, top YouTube execs have shone light on their company’s plans and explained its strategies.

Recode‘s series is the latest partnership between Vox Media and NBCUniversal, the latter of which invested $200 million in the former back in 2015. A year later, the two companies deepened their alliance through an ad sales pact.

The first episode of Recode‘s interview series will air on MSNBC at 10 PM ET on January 19. Content from the show will also be available online.
